Schools Workshops

This term, we were delighted to work in association with the Arts Theatre Cambridge to deliver puppetry and theatre foundation workshops at four primary schools in Cambridge. We met hundreds of fantastic Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils who impressed us with their natural talent for puppetry and immersive imaginations that are truly the envy of any actor. Aligning closely with the Arts’ Creative Learning and Engagement campaign that every primary-aged child should have the opportunity to experience live theatre before they reach secondary school, we are honoured to have helped move a step closer to realising this goal.

Designed alongside the curriculum, our in-school workshops intersperse creative and critical thinking activities, with practical performance techniques, encouraging students to work together, on their feet, to tell a story of their imagining. Students learn skills that can have a lasting resonance in the classroom, and in their capacity for creative expression.

"After the workshop the students were just buzzing... they just seemed so happy!"
